Samsung’s ‘Internet’ browser comes to Windows PCs

Users of Samsung smartphones and tablets may be all too familiar with Samsung’s own web browser that goes by the simple name “Internet” on those devices and on its Galaxy Apps app store as well as on the Google Play Store where it is accessible to just about anyone with a compatible Android device.

Now, that web browser is also available on PCs.

The Samsung Internet browser can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store as a standalone Windows application.

The Chromium-based browser (runs on the same engine as the one that powers Google’s Chrome browser) supports extensions from the Chrome Web Store.

It allows users who are signed in to their Samsung accounts to import open tabs, bookmarks, browsing history and saved pages from other devices they are already using.

Access to the browser is limited to devices that are running on Windows 10 or later versions (there’s just Windows 11 as of the time of publishing this).
