WhatsApp is soon coming to the iPad.
Beta testers of the app are now able to take the iPad app for a spin, as first spotted by WhatsApp watcher WABetaInfo.
The test version of the app is available to WhatsApp for iOS beta users who are on Testflight.
Those who’ve had early hands-on with the app say that it performs as one expects of the standard WhatsApp apps on other devices. Onboarding is by scanning a QR code just the same way one would link another device to their WhatsApp account. Being that it is meant for a tablet, users get a multi-page feel with all conversations staying on one (left) side of the screen and the detailed conversation/chat window that one is on staying on the other (right side).
There is no expected timeline for when this will show up officially after its test phase but our fingers are crossed that that happens soon.
