Safaricom is conducting maintenance tonight (Saturday, 20th May) and early in the morning tomorrow (Sunday, 21st May) which will see several of its services available intermittently.
The affected services, according to Safaricom, are as follows:
- Lipa na M-Pesa Paybill and Buy Goods
- M-Pesa B2C and B2B
- Daraja portal and all M-Pesa APIs
- M-Pesa organization portal, dealer portal and Lipa na M-Pesa portal
- International money transfers (Western Union) and M-Pesa Global
- M-Pesa app and Safaricom app
- M-Shwari, KCB M-Pesa and M-Kesho (are there people who still use that?)
- Hustler Fund
- Fuliza – new limit allocation
- Pinless top-up
- IoT services
Safaricom says that all other services i.e. calls, data and SMS as well as any M-Pesa services not listed above (like Send Money when using the SIM toolkit, not the app) should be available as usual during the maintenance downtime and after.
